Bits is an English-American filmmaker based in New York. She is an all-hands-on-deck kind of creative and believes in finding both the humor and the humanity in everything she does.

Bits most recently worked on Amazon’s hit docuseries ONE NIGHT IN IDAHO: THE COLLEGE MURDERS, intimately exploring the University of Idaho murders, directed by Matthew Galkin and Liz Garbus, produced immersive docuseries THE DEEP END for Freeform/Hulu, about spiritual teacher Teal Swan, and produced MY ROBOT SOPHIA, a Showtime feature film directed by Jon Kasbe and Crystal Moselle about the world’s most famous humanoid robot. She has two upcoming 2025 series releases soon to be announced, and is working between nonfiction investigative projects and a fresh foray into narrative film. Previous work includes HBO’s hit documentary series THE VOW, following the rise and fall of controversial self improvement group NXIVM, PERSUASION MACHINES, which explored the underworld of data exploitation and premiered at Sundance 2020, and Netflix’s THE GREAT HACK, chronicling the Cambridge Analytica-Facebook scandal. THE GREAT HACK premiered at Sundance 2019 and was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special, IDA for Best Writing, and BAFTA Award for Best Documentary. Bits previously worked in development with Oscar-nominated, Emmy-winning directors Jehane Noujaim and Karim Amer across documentary and narrative projects, and with award-winning filmmaker Liz Garbus at Story Syndicate. Her work has shown at Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, CPH:DOX, Sheffield, Camerimage, AFI, and Telluride Mountainfilm, and has streamed on Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Freeform, Showtime, and Amazon.

Bits graduated cum laude in Literature and Creative Arts from Princeton University.
